Manoj Tirodkar have added many feathers to his cap over the years. With an aim
to create an efficient, effective and environment-friendly telecom industry,
Manoj Tirodkar laid the foundation of the Global Group, way back in 1987 which
motivated him to establish a robust foundation of shared telecom infrastructure
model in Telecom Industry.
Manoj Tirodkar started the,
Global Group in 1987 with Global Tele-Systems Ltd. (GTL Limited) and later
diversified by setting up GTL Infrastructure Limited, Both
the companies have been listed on Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock
Exchange (BSE and NSE).
GTL Infra led by Mr. Manoj Tirodkar has a
tower portfolio of almost 28,000 towers, in and around India. Global Group has operations across Asia
Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

Infrastructure Limited under the guardianship of Manoj Tirodkar have had partnerships
with leading global organizations like Qualcomm, Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent,
Nokia Siemens Networks, Huawei, ZTE etc,
Global Group is focused towards
reducing the carbon footprint through investments in such solutions that
improve the energy efficiency in the telecom industry, which is also Tirodkar’s
vision to contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.
Manoj Tirodkar has a keen
interest in helping people in need and as the Managing Trustee of the Global
Foundation a Public Charitable Trust, which is the CSR arm of the Global Group,
Global Foundation educates the underprivileged children in
rural India, work towards improving their health and helping the visually
challenged amongst several other initiatives like the Education for Peace and
Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan.
The success of Manoj Tirodkar can
be estimated with Forbes.com’s listing in 2010, where it listed Manoj Tirodkar at
74th position in the list of Richest Indians. Worldcom Group awarded Manoj
Tirodkar, the first Indian to be felicitated with the World Young Business
Achiever Award (WYBA) in 2000 for young entrepreneurs below age 40 years. Manoj
Tirodkar, has also been felicitated with the Confederation of Indian Industry’s
(CII) Young Entrepreneur Trophy and Telecom Man of the year in 2001.
